Small class sizes allow our faculty to get to know you as an individual student. Our faculty have experience in the K-12 classroom and/or administrative positions that allow them to blend theory with practice and to relate course content to today's challenges.

Practicum Experience

Many of the areas of study include hands on experience. Science and Second Language Education and Culture students often travel to gain field experience that result in exciting classroom teaching. Reading clinics take place on the Wesleyan campus with area students. Principal candidates spend 160 hours working with current administrators to apply classroom content to real life administrative practices.

Careers

An M.Ed. from Texas Wesleyan can give educators an additional area of specialty to help increase their marketability and job opportunities. Other concentrations such as Administration or Reading Specialist can lead to teaching related or administrative positions outside of the classroom.
