滑雪鞋(ski boots)：You need to find the right size and adjust the tightness.
滑雪板(ski)：The skis should not be too long or too short.
滑雪裤(snow pants)：Snow pants are great for snow sports because they can't absorb much water and get wet, but readily evaporate (使蒸发) away sweat.
护目镜(goggles)：There are many things that can poke (戳) you in the eye on even an easy ski slope. Always wear something over your eyes, at least tough plastic glasses. Goggles are better.
怎样滑雪How to Ski
1. Take classes so you can really learn and not be a danger to yourself or other skiers.
滑雪具有一些危险性，所以对beginners来说，上一些专业课程是非常有必要的。What's more, instructors will keep you safe so you can learn without concern.
2. One of the first things you must know is how to stop.
由于滑雪速度较快，学会刹车非常关键。对于双板来讲，用脚尖带动雪板向内侧用力，同时脚跟向外用力，让雪板成内八字，这样就可以停下来了。Do not be afraid to fall. Everyone falls on their first few times of skiing.
3. Keep your weight in the correct place.
如果重心太向后，在转弯的时候就会很困难，有可能失去重心而摔倒；如果重心太向前，就有可能翻跟头。这里教你一个小技巧：Keep your knees slightly bent, and keep your hands in front of you, like you're holding a lunch tray.
4. Learn how to turn.
After you have done the bunny hill (平缓滑雪坡) a few times, you will likely begin to want to turn. 转弯时，将你的重心放在与你想转的方向相反的滑雪板上。
5. Start with your first beginner trail.
Trail在这里指滑雪道。在滑雪场中，不同难度的滑雪道有不同的道标，绿色圆圈(green circle)代表初学者雪道，蓝色方块(blue Square)代表中级雪道，黑色钻石(black diamond)则代表高级雪道。

angulation: 横向折曲身体, 腰, 膝盖
steering: 转弯, pivot + edging = steering
rotation: 转动上半身以改变雪橇的方向, 错误的做法

slalom: 障碍赛, 分为slalom, giant slalom, super G, downhill

fall line: 试将一个足球放在斜坡上, 它向下滚动的路线便是fallline。
carving: 在雪地上刻上两道深深的雪痕, 当然是用雪橇不是用雪杖啦。
mogul: 我叫它菠萝包, Jack 叫它母狗, 你呢?
ski instructor: 滑雪指导员, 陪客人游山玩水, 客气婉转的提点他们的姿势, 毫不保留夸张地赞赏他们的进步, 滑雪后陪吃陪喝. 我现在的工作。
ski coach: 滑雪教练, 什么都不用做, 只要会大声呼喊, 可是运动员成绩不好时会被炒鱿。
