Student-Centered Curriculum

The English Language student-centered curriculum offers a full range of proficiency levels in short-term and semester-long courses. You will practice language skills in every class while exploring topics of interest. Classes are tailored to the language needs and goals of the students.

The faculty are specialists in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). They will provide individualized attention to help you succeed. The English Language Institute is a member of UCIEP, a consortium of college and university intensive English programs in the United States.

从1945年起，NYU语言学院便成为了第一批美国高校主导型语言学习类院校。

Established in 1945, the English Language Institute (ELI) was one of the first university-based language learning centers of its kind. 

语言学院提供综合英语教学与课程评估，注重整合教学法，旨在为学生打下坚实的语言基础并在沟通交流中自如、自信、高效地使用英语。

The ELI offers a comprehensive program of English language instruction and evaluation. They emphasize an integrated approach, ensuring that students gain a foundation in language structure and become comfortable and confident in communicating effectively in English.

These excursions offer rich opportunities to practice and improve your English skills in real-life situations. Students can also get involved in extracurricular activities such as planning on-campus program events. 。

这是一所全日制语言学院，学生在获得F-1签证后办便进入位于在纽约曼哈顿城区历史悠久的伍尔沃斯标志性建筑内开始语言学习。

    Classes take place at the historic Woolworth Building in lower Manhattan. Those receiving F1 student visa sponsorship through the English Language Institute (ELI) are required to enroll full-time.

课程计划

大多数英语强化课程需要周一至周五每天上课，一周20个小时。一些高年级课程和选修课程一周至少2-3天课。

Most Intensive English Program (IEP) classes meet daily, Monday through Friday, for a total of 20 hours a week. Some upper division and elective classes meet just two or three days a week.
