除了英语单词

 

“除了”英语怎么说？概括起来有三类：“除了……没有……”；“除了……还有……”；“除了…..就是……”。下面我们分别加以讲解。

 

一、学会做“加法”----“除了……之外，还有”

1、Besides

用作介词： Besides these honors he received a sum of money. （除了这些荣誉，他得到了一笔钱。）

 

用作副词：He tried two ways besides. （他另外尝试了两种方法。）

2、In addition (to )

In addition to apples, I bought some oranges. （除了苹果，我还买了一些橘子。）

 

In addition, I was taught how to tie up the parcel. （此外，我还学会了怎样打包。）

 

3、Apart from 用作介词

Apart from the cost, it will take a lot of time. （这事儿除了有花费，还搭上不少时间。）

 

4、as well as

On Sundays, his landlady provided dinner as well as breakfast. （每逢星期日，女房东除了早餐外还供应他正餐。）

 

5、 other than

   Is anyone other than yourself coming? （除了你自己之外，还有人来吗？）

  

二、学会做“减法”----“除了…..之外， （啥也没有）”

1、except (for)

用作介词： We go thereevery day except Sunday. （除了星期天，我们每天都去那儿。）

用作连词，连接从句：He nevercame except when he was in trouble. （除了遇到麻烦，他从不过来。）

Except的名词形式是exception，比如I invited everybody with theexception of James. （除詹姆斯外，我所有的人都邀请了。）

2、Apart from 用作介词

I’ve finished all apart from the last question. （除了最后一道，我把所有题都答了。）

3、other than

 There is nobody here otherthan me. （这儿除了我之外没别人。）

4、But (for)

连词： I had no choice but to sign the contract. （除了签这个合同，我别无选择。）

介词： She could do nothing but weeping. （她就会哭。）

The square was empty but for a couple of cabs. （除了几辆出租车，大街上空无一人。）

 

三、学会表达“除了…..就是……”

Either…or… It has been either windy or rainy these days. （这些日子除了刮风就是下雨。）
