I took a trip to Shanghai with my mother during the seven-day holiday. It took us more than two hours to drive to Shanghai from my home in Haimen. We stayed in a large hotel on the eighth floor. On the first day， I just stayed in the hotel and rested. On the second day， my brother and I went to Nanjing Road. It’s the busiest street in Shanghai. When we got there， there were lots of people. We walked from one shop to another. I bought two T-shirts and two pairs of trousers for the ing summer. The T-shirts and trousers I bought are all white because white is my favourite colour. My brother also bought some clothes. On the third day， my mother took me to Jinjiang Entertainment Centre. It was full of people. I played many kinds of games there. I had a good time. The other days， I went to some other interesting places， such as the Oriental Bright Pearl TV Tower， the Huangpu River and Shanghai International Conference Centre. I didn’t forget to do my homework in the evening. I had a full and happy holiday.
在七天的假期里，我和母亲一起去了上海。我们花了两个多小时从我在海门的家开车到上海。我们住在一个八楼的大旅馆里。第一天，我只是呆在酒店里休息。第二天，我和哥哥去了南京路。那是上海最繁忙的街道。当我们到达那里时，有很多人。我们从一个商店走到另一个商店。我买了两件T恤衫和两条长裤，准备在夏天穿。我买的T恤和长裤都是白色的，因为白色是我最喜欢的颜色。我哥哥也买了一些衣服。第三天，我妈妈带我去了晋江娱乐中心。那里有很多人。我在那里玩了很多种类的游戏。我玩得很开心。其他几天，我还去了一些其他有趣的地方，如东方明珠电视塔、黄浦江和上海国际会议中心。晚上我也没有忘记做作业。我度过了一个充实而快乐的假期。
This summer vacation， I went to Beijing.
It was a very great city!
We went to the Great Wall first.Like its name，it was very great.We can see many mountians around.
Then we went to visit Tian'an Men Square.It was also fantastic.
We lived in a small house in a Beijing Hutung， it was a traditional Beijing building called 'four-section pound'.
这个暑假，我去了北京。
那是一个非常棒的城市！我们先去了长城。

I went to three cities to play during last summer holidays. They are Beijing， Dalian and HuHehot.
I went to Beijing more than eight times. Beijing is the capital of China. It’s a big city. I am very familiar with Beijing. It takes an hour and forty minutes from Nantong to Beijing by plane. There are many tall buildings in Beijing. It’s a modern city. My family visited the Great Wall， the Summer Palace， the Palace Museum， the Beihai Park， the Space Museum， etc. I went to the countryside of Beijing to go boating and fishing. It was very interesting. I went shopping in WangFuJing. I bought lots of souvenirs and other things. I like eating Beijing snacks. They are delicious. Don’t miss the Beijing Duck. It is really nice.
Dalian is a beautiful city. Dalian is close to Beijing. I spent 5o minutes on the plane. Dalian is near the sea. I smelled the salty taste in the air. The roads are clean. There are lots of trees and flowers near the roads. There are many esplanades and Japanese buildings. There are some fountains in one of the esplanades. Some people flew kites and walked on the esplanades. We went to see the beach and the sea. The sea is blue. There were many swimmers in the sea. I lay on the beach to see the sky.Dalian is a very nice place to live.
Huhehot is in Inner Mongol. There are lots of large grasslands. The grasslands are endless. The sky is bright blue. There were a lot of horses and sheep. They were running or eating grass. I rode a horse on the grass land. I picked some colourful flowers. We drank the tea with milk. There is a small desert， it was very hot when I walked on it. The sand could sing.
These trips helped me open my eyes. I enjoyed my day.
去年暑假期间，我去了三个城市玩。它们是北京、大连和呼和浩特。
我去了北京8次以上。北京是中国的首都。这是一个很大的城市。我对北京非常熟悉。从南通到北京坐飞机需要1小时40分钟。北京有很多高楼大厦。这是一个现代化的城市。我的家人参观了长城、颐和园、故宫博物院、北海公园、太空博物馆等。我去了北京的乡下，去划船和钓鱼。这非常有趣。我去了王府井购物。我买了很多纪念品和其他东西。我喜欢吃北京的小吃。它们很美味。不要去吃北京烤鸭。它真的很好。
大连是一个美丽的城市。大连离北京很近。我在飞机上花了5O分钟。大连靠近大海。我闻到了空气中的咸味。道路很干净。道路附近有很多树和花。有许多河滨公园和日本建筑。在其中一个河畔广场上有一些喷泉。有些人放风筝，在河岸边散步。我们去看了海滩和大海。大海是蓝色的。海里有很多游泳的人。我躺在沙滩上看天空。大连是一个非常好的居住地。

这些旅行帮助我开阔了眼界。我很享受我的一天。
I love traveling. Traveling not only broadens my horizons but also opens my eyes to the world. What's more， it refreshes me. You can go to Disneyland and experience what it's like to be “a child again!” You can visit one of the “seven wonders of the world，” such as the Grand Canyon and feel the magnificence of nature! You can taste the “magical” ice water on a glacier， which can help you bee more beautiful and make you live longer. Just forget all trifles and burdens that you have in your mind. Experience is a type of living knowledge. You'll be sure to experience many new things when traveling. You don't even need a tour guide if you long for more freedom. Just don't forget to bring your backpack!

Travels on Holidays in China
Nowadays， more and more people like to travel in their holidays. The other day I read a report about the ways people spend their holidays. It is reported that in recent years several new holiday habits have been developed. Among them， the most interesting one is the growth of the so-called holiday camps.
From the report we can see that in 20XX，40 percent of people stayed at home for holidays. But now the proportion has reduced to 9 percent. More people go out for fun. The proportion of camping and traveling abroad was increasing steadily， from 10 percent in 20XX to 38 percent in 20XX， and 12 percent in 20XX to 26 percent in 20XX respectively. People enjoy the fresh air， clean Water and green hills when they go camping in the suburbs. In 20XX，38 percent people enjoyed going to the seaside while in 20XX only 27 percent prefer to go there. What great changes!
Why did those changes appear? I think there are several reasons. First， it' s because people can afford traveling. Second， people prefer to pursue a high-quality and colorful life. Third， their attitudes to relaxation have changed. Less people want to save much money by leading a simple life. In short， people's living standard today has been rising greatly.
在中国的假期旅行
如今，越来越多的人喜欢在假期中旅行。有一天，我读了一篇关于人们度假方式的报道。据报道，近几年来，人们已经形成了一些新的度假习惯。其中，最有趣的是所谓的度假营地的增长。
从报告中我们可以看到，在20XX年，40%的人呆在家里过节。但现在这个比例已经减少到9%。更多的人外出游玩。露营和出国旅游的比例在稳步上升，从20XX年的10%上升到20XX年的38%，20XX年的12%上升到20XX年的26%。人们在郊外露营时享受新鲜的空气、干净的水和绿色的山丘。在20XX年，38%的人喜欢去海边，而在20XX年只有27%的人喜欢去那里。多么大的变化啊!

Last summer vacation，my family and I went to Qingdao by train.There was always sunshine and fresh air，which made us so comfortable.We went to the seaside，the sea was as blue as the sky，and bathing in the sunshine on the beach， was really an enjoyable thing.I also picked up a lot of colorful shells with my little sister.There we bought many interesting souvenirs，I was planing to send them to my friends.We ate many tings there，such as fish，prawn，and so on.They are very delicious.Then we lived in a clean and tidy hotel，and the price was not so expensive.I like Qingdao very much，and if I got a chance，I hope to e here again，it is such a beautiful and interesting place.

Hello everyone， I’m …You can call me… I am a sunny and hard-working girl from Class 79 ，Grade 1 of CE JING Middle School. It’s my great honor to take part in this oral petition. The title of my speech today is “Traveling and Reading”
As an ancient Chinese saying goes， “He who travels far knows much”. In my opinion， modern life is impossible without traveling. For me， there are two kinds of traveling. On the one hand， traveling on foot brings me many benefits. It can make me enjoy my holidays and many different life styles; it can broaden my vision， let me learn more about other countries or cultures. On the other hand， reading is another kind of traveling. It can bring me to the places where I can not go for the time being. Books are the best friends of human being. Books make my eyes and imagination enjoy the beautiful scenes through writhers’ wonderful description.
I have been to Beijing， Nanjing， Shandong， Hangzhou， Suzhou and other places. At the same time，I have been reading many books of different world-famous writers. The places I’ve been to and the places I only travel on books both impress a lot on me.

古人云："路遥知马力，日久见人心"。在我看来，现代生活不可能没有旅行。对我来说，有两种旅行方式。一方面，徒步旅行给我带来很多好处。它可以让我享受假期和许多不同的生活方式；它可以拓宽我的视野，让我更多地了解其他国家或文化。另一方面，阅读是另一种旅行。它可以把我带到我暂时不能去的地方。书籍是人类最好的朋友。书籍让我的眼睛和想象力通过作者精彩的描述享受美丽的场景。
我去过北京、南京、山东、杭州、苏州和其他地方。同时，我还阅读了许多不同的世界著名作家的书。我去过的地方和我只在书上看过的地方都给我留下了深刻的印象。
