How is it going recently? With Chinese Lantern Festival around the corner, I’m writing to introduce this festival and our school’s activity which was held on this festival.
The Lantern Festival which is one of the most important festivals in China, falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month every year. On that day people will have a dish made of rice dumplings,also named“tangyuan”,which was similar to“tuanyuan ”. As usual，people will let off fireworks and hold a Lantern riddles guessing game.
These activities are the ways to share happiness with everyone.
This afternoon our school also held an activity to celebrate the Lantern Festival.Every students can join the lantern riddles guessing game and the winner will get prizes.As a symbol of fullness and family togetherness，The Lantern Festival is such a meaningful festival that everyone looks forward to it.

I’m going to tell you something about one of Chinese traditional festivals, The Lentern Festival.There are as follows.
To begin with，The Lentern festival falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month,usually in February or March.What’s more，it has become a popular festival with great significance,dating back to the Western Han Dynasty.What makes Chinese more excited is that there are varieties of lanterns hung in streets and everyone enjoys Yuanxiao,which is also named Tangyuan,meaning reunion during the Lantern Festival.Apart from that,much to Chinese people ’s delight,lots of lantern riddles competitions are held in many places, which are deeply popular among all social strata in addition, Chinese also let firework off to celebrate this festival.
And today,lantern riddles competition was held from4:05pm to 6:30pm in our school ’s stadium, which was of great interest and full of wisdom.We could get presents by guessing lantern riddles.We all had a good time.
