签证类型
现在来英国的旅游签证和探亲签证都属于standard visitor visa。申请的时候选的是6个月的签证，自动升级为2年的签证，费用不变（97.1镑/人）。

所有材料要提供原件和复印件，非英文材料需要提供英文翻译件，翻译者要提供翻译证明（模板如下）。有任何不能提供的证件，最好附上一封解释信(Explanation Letter)，例如，自由职业者要写解释信解释每月的收入。
翻译证明如下，需要翻译者签名 （关于手写签名：可以在白纸上写上自己的名字，用一个APP叫“扫描全能王”扫描成图片格式，粘贴在翻译证明的word里，然后发给爸妈直接打印就可以啦）

3. 面签
上海的面签地点：黄浦区四川中路213号久事商务大厦二楼
提前15分钟到达，在英国签证区排队，进入后在前台会有人看一下你的材料，签个名，拿号，进去排队等待叫号，叫到号后到柜台提交材料，选择亲自来拿签证还是快递，选择快递的话要填一个快递单，交快递费。
交完后不要走，还要录指纹和拍照。叫到号后进入房间，录指纹，然后会让你抬一下头，就拍好照了。
（注意：递交签证时，工作人员可能会说不能保证你的翻译符合要求之类的话，不用管。他们是为了收更多的翻译费，大概70元/页）
爸妈问工作人员出签日期，得到的回复是15个工作日。
结果7.24号面签，8.1就收到签证的快递了，这效率一定要夸一夸了~
