–She just looks average. 长得普普通通的。
-How was the food? 食物怎么样？
–It tastes quite average. 吃起来很一般。
描述一个人长相， 身高一般般，居于平均水平时，还可以说：
average/ordinary looking girl: 长相一般的女孩。
average height man: 身高一般的男人
To be not particularly wonderful, remarkable,
-Why do you adore her so much? She‘s nothing special. 为什么你这么迷恋她？她没什么特别的啊。
-How was your date? 约会怎么样？
–Nothing special. We just watched a movie and had the dinner.
The real talk is the stories in the book. I found just okay. I didn’t find that inspiring.
