911事件20周年后的美国什么样

Well, it is September 11 again, better known as 911.

I am old enough to actually remember what happened on that day. I was in California and my wife Shujung was in Tennessee. She called me up and said turn on the TV. Back then, most of us had TVs.

The world was surprised to find that 20 Muslims had hijacked 4 planes and murdered 3000 people, Americans mostly.

We had to go to Afghanistan, because that is where the attackers came from.

对于我这把年纪的人来说，我实实在在知道那天发生了什么。当时我在加州，我的妻子Shujung在田纳西州。她打电话给我说快看电视。那时候，我们大多数人都有电视。

The next day 20,000,000 military personal were mobilized worldwide. About a million were in the United States. All nonmilitary aircraft were grounded worldwide.

Americas musical tastes changed rapidly. The next day, the two top musical hits were “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful”.

Everybody was excited and there was a sense of patriotism and unity in the air. The unity was worldwide.

People were out in jeeps and trucks with big American flags.

I realized than that this patriotism was going to go bad.

Of course, we really did have to go to Afghanistan.

Iran was wanting to help us. They did not like Afghanistan or Iraq.

George W Bush said: Axis of Evil, Iraq, Iran, North Korea.

What! North Korea? Iran? Iraq? How about Afghanistan?

John Bolton said: Syria, Libya, and Cuba.

Condoleezza Rice said: Zimbabwe, Belarus, and Myanmar.

You see what I mean by patriotism run amok.

第二天，全世界动员了2000万军事人员。光美国就出动了100万军人。世界各地的所有非军用飞机都停飞。

In 2008 Americans elected a brilliant man to be president and we got some health care and the guy that was actually responsible for the attack.

Then Mr. Trump came along divided Americans, Mexicans, Blacks, Christians, Liberals, Democrats, Conservatives and

when a real threat came to the world, and to America.

This time there was no patriotism. No togetherness. No sense of unity. Just denial of science, profound ignorance, chaos hatred and division.

Now it is not 3,000 dead Americans it is 700,000 dead Americans, 4.6 million dead worldwide.

2008年，美国人选举了一位杰出的人当总统，我们得到了一些医疗保健并且抓到了那个实际上对袭击负责的人。
