    hopeless adj. 没有希望的

3. 常用搭配：

希望去做某事 hope to do sth.（及物动词）

希望工程 Hope Project （名词）

希望…… hope+(that)从句 （及物动词）

我希望如此。I hope so. （不及物动词）

我希望不是这样的。I hope not. （不及物动词）

作动词，并表达“希望(某人)做某事”时的用法：

hope v.希望

wish v.希望，祝愿

wish to do sth.

wish+(that)从句

wish sb. to do sth.

expect v.期待，预料，指望

expect to do sth.

expect+(that)从句

expect sb. to do sth.

hope/wish/expect三者的相同点是：

1.都可接不定式(to do)

2.都可接(that)从句。

不同点是：

wish/expect后可接sb. to do sth. 

但没有hope sb. to do sth.这个结构。

例句：

We hope to see you again.

我们希望再次见到你。

I hope (that) it will be fine tomorrow. 

我希望明天是好天气。

I wish to become a millionaire. 

但愿我能成为一个百万富翁。

I wish (that) I were you. 

真希望我是你。

虚拟语气：

I wish you to go there with me next year. 

希望你明年能和我一起去那里。

Don't expect him to show kindness to you. 

别指望他会对你发善心。

wish的用法

1. 动词，意为“希望”

   wish to do sth

   He wishes to be a doctor like his father.

   他希望能成为一个像父亲那样的医生。

   wish sb to do sth

   I wish you to think about my advice.

   我希望你能考虑一下我的建议。

2. 动词，意为“祝愿”

    Wish you success！

    祝你成功！

3.名词，意为“愿望；希望；心愿；祝愿（常用复数）”

    My wish is to be a dancer.

    我的愿望是成为一名舞者。

    Close your eyes and make a wish.

    闭上眼睛许一个愿。

    Best wishes to you!

    给你最美好的祝愿！

hope的用法

1. 动词，意为“希望；期待”   

   I hope so.希望如此

   --Will it rain tomorrow？

   --I hope so/not.

   --明天会下雨吗？

   --我希望下雨/不下雨。

   hope to do sth

   I hope to become your friend.

   我希望成为你的朋友。

   hope +（that）从句

   I hope（that）you can give me some help.

   我希望你们能给我提供一些帮助。

   hope for sth

   I hope for a better future.

   我希望有一个更好的未来。

2.名词，意为“希望；被寄予希望的人”

   Don't lose hope.

   别丧失希望。

   She is the whole hope of her family.

   她是家庭的全部希望。

wish和hope辨析

   两者都可以跟动词不定式，意为“希望做某事”。

   区别：

1.wish后面可以跟复合结构，即“wish sb to do sth”，

   但hope不可以。

   Parents wish children to study hard.（√）

   父母希望孩子们努力学习。

   Parents hope children to study hard.（╳）

   应该用下面第2条的从句来表达。

   Parents hope children can study hard.

2.两者都可以跟（that）从句，hope表示有可能实现的愿望；

   wish表示不大可能实现的愿望，从句用虚拟语气。

   I hope you have a good time.

   我希望你们玩得高兴。

   I wish I could fly like a bird.

   我希望能像鸟儿一样飞。

3.wish 后面可以跟双宾语，表示“祝愿”，hope不可以。

   I wish you good luck.

   祝你万事如意！
