College history study is different from that of high school. It pays more attention to the cultivation of historical thinking mode of historical research talents. Instead of telling you the answers to a particular question, a college teacher guides you to find out the answer yourself by looking up relevant information. You have to adapt quickly to this learning style. In addition, you are encouraged to attend lectures that sometimes are far more rewarding than attending a class. You must seize these opportunities.
History is the study of human society progress and the laws of science. The study of history will broaden the scope of knowledge and cultivate interdisciplinary. It helps students to develop understanding of the history and national conditions of other countries, as well as their relations and international politics.
The task of history, as Spencer said, is to make people not sad or unhappy, but to understand. Bacon said, history makes a man wise. Historical studies require using historical materials carefully, which is conducive to cultivating rigorous attitude and careful observation. Learning history is beneficial to everyone. To start with learning history is practical, simply because history reflects itself. If you encounter problems in reality, you can probably look for solutions from history. Moreover, learning history can get us acquainted with all kinds of heroes and heroines, teaching us to be brave and persistent. Last but not least, reading classical works of history is conducive to our acquisition of Chinese language and culture.
In brief, learning history is necessary and important. The courses should not be judged as useful or not. We should make effort to find out the value of each course.
I suppose my major is a little difficult. However, if you have endurance and diligence, you are able to learn it well. Physics is a major full of charm. Once you spare no efforts to learn it, I believe you can find more interesting things happening around us. What you need is creation and diligence, to understand the meaning of the essence of physical phenomena, rather than to do physical problems. Interest is the best teacher, so in the process of learning, we can't lose our passion for the pursuit of the study.
My major is urban planning. Before I began to study its courses, I didn't know anything about it at all. But when I studied after some time, I was sure that I fell in love with it. Most of my time is devoted to painting, such as facsimile of beautiful sceneries, tall buildings, and even a whole city. Only when you get some painting skills, you could apply knowledge that the teachers of professional courses taught you to designing of a city. In addition, you also could find some problems in existing cities, in terms of traffic, afforesting, and public space. You can redesign the cities through drafts or ppt. When you become a city planner, you will have a chance to see the city designed by yourself. It sounds really fantastic, doesn't it?
Tourism is an emerging discipline. With the development of international economy, great changes and progress have taken place in tourism, which is reflected in aspects including the industrial system of China's national economy and comprehensive professional tourism and so on. We mainly study the basic theory and knowledge of tourism management. We learn how to settle disputes on the way of travelling, what a professional tour guide should grasp and how to bring the best tour experience.
Math is more deep-seated in our culture than most of us have realized. The most popular artificial intelligence is influenced to one degree or another by math. My major requires a series of courses in mathematical analysis, advanced algebra….learning these will help you develop you logical thinking skills. You will learn to think rationally and not be afraid of setbacks. Although it sometimes takes a long time to solve a problem, once you work it out, you will get a great sense of achievement. The major of law is designed to cultivate senior professionals who systematically master legal knowledge and are familiar with China's laws and relevant policies of the party, and can engage in legal work in state organs, enterprises, public institutions and social organizations, especially in legislative organs, arbitration organs and legal service institutions. The students of this major mainly study the theories and knowledge of laws, receive the basic training of legal thinking and legal practice, and acquire the ability to apply legal theories and methods to analyze problems.
Biotechnology includes theoretical and experimental courses, which involve studies on plants, animals and cells. In our freshman year, we have field practice, learn to make exquisite plant specimens, have close contact with nature and get to know all kinds of plants. We also learn to dissect animals, learn about their internal organs and explore the mysteries of life. In addition, we study food science, and get to know how different foods are made.
