Hospital在英文里指的是综合大医院， 并且有住院的意思， 所以当你说你要Go to hospital的时候， 外国人会认为你病的很严重。并且到了要住院的程度， 非常容易产生误会。

请病假的时候，如果你和老板说， I feel uncomfortable. 那距离老板开除你就不远了！我们都知道舒服是comfortable, 表示身体不舒服，可不能说Uncomfortable！Uncomfortable是描述尴尬、不自在，不合适，害怕的状态。

“出院”能不能直接说“leave the hospital”呢？这是一种比较宽泛的说法，无论因为什么原因从医院离开都是“leave the hospital”，容易引发歧义。
通常情况下，出院的表达是“discharge oneself from hospital/be discharged from the hospital”。“discharge”也可以换成“release”。
