Do you know Garfield (加菲猫)? Garfield first appeared in June, 1978. He is well known all over the world. Lots of Garfield books have been turned into twenty-six languages. Garfield products are sold in sixty-nine countries.

Jim Davis is Garfield’s creator. Jim was born in July, 1935 in Indiana. He grew up on a farm where his dad raised cows. Jim and his brother Dave helped with the farm work. They had twenty-five cats.

Chinese Dragon Boat Festival is also called the Duanwu Festival. It is a very important lunar (农历的) festival in China, along with Spring Festival and Mid-autumn Festival.
