外汇期权交易 Foreign Exchange Option Trading

期权（Options）是一种选择权，期权的买方向卖方支付一定数额的期权费后，就获得这种权利，即在一定时间内按照事先约定的执行价格买进或者卖出一定数量的标的物。

After the buyer pays a premium to the seller, the option provides the buyer with the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell a specific amount of underlying object, at a specified rate (the exercise price), during a specified period.

期权的卖方只有执行期权的义务。

The the seller is obliged to exercise the option.

3. 产品功能 Features 

对于期权的买方来说，付出期权费可以为其未来的资金头寸的成本或收益提供风险保障，而并不要求其做出任何交易承诺。

By paying a premium, the option buyer hedges against risks in the cost or returns of future exposures without commitment for transaction.

对于期权的卖方而言，可以通过交易收取期权费，降低成本。当然对于卖方而言，他所获得的期权费也有可能不能弥补期权被执行后造成的损失。

The seller receives the premium to reduce costs, but it is also possible that the premium received may not cover the loss caused by exercise of the option.

4. 办理指引 

1）、贵公司向银行提交商业单据及相关凭证。The customer submits to a bank the commercial documents and relevant vouchers.

2）、公司与银行签订《外汇期权交易总协议书》。The bank and the customer enter into the Master Agreement on Foreign Exchange Option Trading.

3）、公司按规定日期和银行办理资金交割。The customer completes settlement with the bank on the specified date.

5. 外汇期权的交易机制

In finance, a foreign exchange option (commonly shortened to just FX option or currency option) is a derivative financial instrument that gives the right but not the obligation to exchange money denominated in one currency into another currency at a pre-agreed exchange rate on a specified date. For this right, a premium is paid to the seller. 

在金融领域，外汇期权(通常简称FX option 或 currency option)是一种衍生金融工具，它赋予人们在指定日期按照事先商定的汇率将一种货币兑换成另一种货币的权利，但不是义务。对于这项权利，买方要支付一笔期权费给卖方。

With an FX Option, one party (the option holder) gains the contractual right to buy or sell a fixed amount of currency at a specific rate on a predetermined future date. Upon contract formation, the holder (buyer) has to pay a fee to the seller for acquiring the option. This fee is called the Premium.

使用外汇期权，一方(期权持有人)获得在预定的未来日期以特定汇率买卖固定金额货币的合约权利。在合同形成后，持有人(买方)必须向卖方支付一笔费用以获得期权。这个费用叫做期权费。
