The Role
Veeva is looking for an experienced Translation QA Specialist (Chinese) for our Vault applications. You will work closely with the QA Translation Manager and the Product team to ensure that our products have the highest level of quality translations in Chinese. With the other members of the Dalian QA Team led by the Translation QA Manager, you will work with our Product Management team and translation vendor to manage the overall quality of our product translations including UI and documentation translations. Must have experience translating English technical documents to Mandarin.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with Product Management, HQ Localization team, and translation vendor to correct incoming translations and help deliver those corrections into the product
- Build out scalable strategies and processes to ensure translations are reviewed and context-driven
- Understand Veeva Vault roadmaps and identify process and tooling needed to review and deliver new or updated translations
- Gain insight into Veeva’s software applications in order to understand the context of the translations
- Track translation changes and ensures translations are uniform across corresponding documentation
- Must have experience translating English technical documents to Mandarin
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software localization, translation, QA testing, or Linguistic QA
- Be able to utilize recommended translation software for making corrections and managing translation memories/dictionaries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with high attention to detail
- Time Management Skills
- Fluency in written Chinese (Mandarin)
