本人2018年武汉硕士毕业，拿到新南威尔士化学专业博士的offer后，开始准备澳洲500学生签。
因为我们当时理工科博士下签比较慢，而我最后20天就下签了，所以算比较幸运的。在我们课题组目前也是博士中下签最快的。所以来分享下我的经验。
全部DIY，自己网上查资料以及和之前申签成功的师兄师姐讨论。
01 个人情况介绍
申签之前的经历就是一直在国内上学，上完本科，上硕士。
专业一直是材料，不太涉及到核材料等敏感方向。
护照上有去过日本的记录，之前去日本参加国际会议。
02 材料准备
具体网上填表的步骤，知乎和百度上都能搜出一大堆，我就不说了。主要分享下我材料准备和GTE。需要我的cover letter和GTE的可以私信我，我可以发你word版。
我自己写了个Cover letter & Materials List，简单介绍了自己，并且附上了提交材料的目录，如下。

材料有点多，我也是准备了很长时间。准备材料的过程中尽量避免那些敏感词汇。比如我做材料的，我的研究计划的时候尽量不把自己往高深了些，避开如核材料等这些敏感字。
有些材料是需要公证的，比如出生证明和无犯罪证明。公证的时间等的比较长，要提前准备。
如果你有存款证明，房子车子（或者父母名下的）这类的文件证明就更好了，在GTE中就强烈表明我在中国能生活的很好，毕业后不想要移民到澳洲。
还有，所有材料都是英文的，如是中文的需要翻译。
02 GTE
GTE是所有材料中自主性最大的一个材料，因为这个东西就是让你写一段话表明你没有移民澳洲的倾向，个人感觉这个东西对于下签快慢有很大关系。
我就把我的GTE贴上来，给大家参考，这个GTE也是我看了很多资料，整理出来的。
I am a postgraduatestudent in Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. I amapplying for the Student Visa (subclass 500) to undertake my PhD researchprogram in the University of New South Wales (UNSW). I am the sole applicant without any family member included in this application. （简单介绍自己）
After completingthe Master degree upon Materials Science and Engineering in June, 2018, Idecided to continue my passion in scientific research. I applied to theresearch team of Professor XX in UNSW to start my PhD in semester 2,2018. Professor XX, is a renowned expert in the field of catalysis, which matches my research background well. Besides, UNSW is a highly prestigious, world-leading university with advanced research infrastructure and excellent research atmosphere. This oversea research experience will be good for my future research cooperation. （为什么来澳洲留学）
My PhD program is fully funded by a UNSW Tuition Fee Scholarship (TFS) scholarship, coveringtuition fees and providing a stipend AUD 27,082 per year. With this scholarship, I don’t need a part-time job to support myself, and I canconcentrate on my research. （表明有钱专心上学）
My doctoral research is about electrocatalysts for water splitting, which would help to solve the energy shortages. More details can be found in my attached research proposal. After I obtain my PhD degree in UNSW, I would try to find a research position in either institutes or companies in China. Because China, at a leading position in manufacturing industry, must requires innovation and techniques todeal with the tremendous energy shortage. I believe that I can make contribution to it. Moreover, Chinese government provides sufficient funding and opportunities in this field, indicating that employment would be mucheasier in China. More importantly, I am the only child in my family, and I havethe responsibility to take care of my parents when they are old.（强烈表明，毕业后回国）
Finally, I confirm that I have no immigration intention and immigration records. （没有移民澳洲的打算）
